Donors visit scholarship students and their families in their homes. The donors come away with renewed appreciation for the hardships both parents and students struggle to overcome.
The importance of this program which gives Mayans who are living in extreme poverty an opportunity to escape poverty is a life changing experience for the donors.
Through the intercultural exchange event as part of a donor trip, both donors and students have an opportunity to play games, share personal interests and laugh together! Their common humanity is appreciated and never forgotten.
